When he was very young, Walt fished in the
creeks around Windsor, North Carolina as much as he could and later
began fishing offshore with his father and brothers. After graduating
from Atlantic Christian College in Wilson, North Carolina, he moved to
the beach in Nags Head and ran a watersport business for two years.
Walt purchased the business, ran it for three more years, then sold it
and got his real estate license. After five years of real estate, he
was finally willing to take the chance of a lifetime so he boutght a 43
foot Ricky Scarborough and moved to Hatteras where he and his wife,
Nancy, and daughter, Hunter, lived. In 1996, Walt and
Nancy bought a 54 foot Buddy Cannady and renamed the boat Hunter. Happy
as he has ever been and finally doing what he has always wanted to do,
Walt is here for good. Watching people smile and having the time of
their lives is what keeps him going.
